Mechanical Technician (Seals)

Fabricates, finishes, documents and prepares metal and field verifiable passive seals used by safeguards inspectors, ensuring quality control and delivery readiness.

Department: Technical Support Team

• Source raw materials for metal seal production
• Assemble copper and brass components through ultrasonic welding and soldering
• Engrave unique signatures and perform specialized cleaning and finishing
• Carry out visual quality control for metal and field verifiable passive seals
• Request randomized image templates and prepare laser engraving programmes
• Load and position plugs and cups for laser engraving
• Sort, pack, record and organize seals for delivery to the Vienna International Centre

• Completed secondary education
• Minimum two years of working experience as a technician
• Experience operating mechanical or electronic equipment
• Good oral and written command of English
• English language test to IAEA standard may be part of the process
