Responsibilities
- Manage surface motor transport support within the mission area, including UN-owned and contributed equipment
- Develop and implement vehicle acquisition, maintenance and recovery plans
- Oversee the Driving Test Programme and monitor issuance of UN driving permits
- Supervise maintenance and repair of UN-owned vehicles and the maintenance workshop
- Coordinate transport dispatch, route planning and shuttle bus services
- Manage non-expendable transport asset inventory and coordinate the Vehicle Establishment Committee
- Supervise transport personnel and evaluate staff performance
- Prepare and monitor the Transport Section's annual budget and financial reporting
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical or vocational certificate in mechanical engineering, transportation, logistics or a related field
- Minimum ten years of progressively responsible experience in motor vehicle transport operations management, reduced to five years with a first-level university degree
- Fluency in English
