IT Operations Officer

Leads IT and telecommunications services for WFP in Madagascar, ensuring systems, networks, security controls and emergency technology support enable country-office operations and food assistance delivery.

• Develop plans, budgets and policies for IT and telecommunications services
• Deploy IT and telecommunications systems aligned with business needs and WFP standards
• Maintain systems, networks, data security and access controls
• Manage hardware upgrades, technical specifications and service-provider contracts
• Prepare reports on IT activities, investments, costs and performance trends
• Advise managers and users on complex IT issues and policy application
• Lead and coach a small IT team and support staff capability building
• Contribute to emergency preparedness, contingency planning and operational response

• Advanced university degree in computer science or another relevant field, or first university degree with additional related experience or training
• Five years of professional-level experience with an advanced university degree
• Fluency in French and intermediate knowledge of English

• Fixed-term appointment for one year, renewable upon confirmation of probation
