Responsibilities
- Help governments identify and prepare agrifood investment initiatives
- Support appraisal, implementation and final evaluation of investment operations
- Develop sector studies, strategies and national investment plans
- Design capacity-development initiatives for public and private stakeholders
- Maintain partnerships that generate new investment opportunities
- Assure consultant outputs and prepare documents for governments and financing partners
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in economics, agricultural economics, agricultural or environmental sciences, agribusiness, natural resource management, forestry, irrigation, rural infrastructure engineering or a related field
- Seven years of experience in agricultural or rural analysis and agrifood investment operations
- Working knowledge of English at FAO level C
- Intermediate knowledge of another official FAO language at level B
