Associate Investment Officer

Supports private sector infrastructure investments and technical assistance in Nepal and South Asia through financial analysis, due diligence, project administration and transaction documentation.

Department: Private Sector Infrastructure Finance Division 1

• Provide analytical support for credit and financial due diligence
• Review contracts, project documents, financial models and risk profiles
• Participate in due diligence missions and negotiations with developers, sponsors and financiers
• Draft credit memoranda, project summaries and risk assessment documents
• Maintain project databases, financing documents and electronic files
• Process disbursement requests and monitor borrower compliance with covenants
• Support consultant recruitment and due diligence report review

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, preferably with advanced training
• At least five years of relevant experience in corporate financing or project finance with a leading international or local financial institution or investment bank
• Ability to conduct research and analysis, organise data and prepare notes, papers and report sections
• Effective report-writing and communication skills in English
• Ability to guide administrative staff on work planning, delivery and quality review

• Local staff position open only to nationals and permanent residents of Nepal
• Fixed-term appointment initially up to three years with possible renewal
• Appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment
