Investment Officer

Supports and coordinates private-sector infrastructure investments in Pakistan and Central and West Asia, leading financial due diligence, risk analysis and transaction processing.

Department: Private Sector Infrastructure Finance Division 1

• Identify, develop and process private-sector infrastructure projects
• Conduct due diligence, risk analysis and transaction structuring for loans, equity, guarantees and other assistance
• Develop financial models and assess investment risk profiles and creditworthiness
• Analyse financial statements, projections and stress-testing outputs
• Participate in due diligence missions and advise project team leaders
• Prepare concept and final review memoranda, risk analyses and project documents
• Engage risk and safeguards specialists on transaction issues
• Contribute to private-sector strategy and pipeline development

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, preferably with advanced training, CA or CFA charter holder
• At least eight years of relevant professional experience, preferably in project finance or corporate finance
• Ability to conduct research and analysis, organise data and prepare notes, papers and report sections
• Strong report-writing and communication skills in English
• Ability to guide junior staff on work planning, delivery and quality review

• Local staff position open only to nationals and permanent residents of Pakistan
• Fixed-term appointment initially up to three years with possible renewal
• Appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment
