Investment Accounting Consultant

The consultant supports IFC investment accounting by screening loan, equity and guarantee transactions, assembling legal and project evidence, documenting structures and fact patterns, applying US GAAP or IFRS to simpler investments, coordinating investment officers, testing compliance and improving AI-enabled review procedures.

Department: IFC Investment Accounting

• Use artificial-intelligence tools to identify investment transactions for review
• Allocate scoped transactions across the accounting team
• Assemble legal agreements and project evidence for selected investments
• Document transaction structures and background fact patterns
• Apply accounting standards to simpler loan, equity and guarantee investments
• Clarify transaction information with investment officers and accounting colleagues
• Maintain procedures covering consolidation, derivatives and debt securities
• Support compliance testing and continuous process improvement

• Basic technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS for loan, equity and guarantee investments
• Accounting or auditing capability
• English
