Institutional Coordination Expert

Coordinates UNDP, Colombia’s Ministry of Justice, public entities and civil-society organisations implementing territorial drug-policy initiatives. The assignment tracks commitments and deliverables, resolves institutional bottlenecks and strengthens rights-based, conflict-sensitive delivery across project partners.

Department: Peace, Justice and Crisis Response

• Coordinate technical and institutional collaboration among UNDP, government entities, civil society and territorial actors
• Organise technical working groups, committees and meetings and track resulting commitments and alerts
• Produce decision-support briefs, monitoring matrices, reports and strategic recommendations
• Track schedules, deliverables, procedures and project activities and recommend implementation adjustments
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, public institutions, cooperation partners and community organisations
• Identify institutional, operational and territorial risks and propose prevention or mitigation measures
• Review terms of reference, workplans, schedules, reports and implementation instruments
• Integrate human-rights, peacebuilding, differential and do-no-harm approaches into territorial coordination

• University degree in political science, government, international relations, law, sociology, anthropology, social work, public administration, social sciences or a related field
• At least eight years of professional experience in institutional coordination, public policy, peacebuilding, transitional justice, victim support, international cooperation or territorial projects
• Experience coordinating public entities, international organisations, technical teams and territorial actors
• Experience in peacebuilding, transitional justice, victim support, reconciliation or conflict-related public policy
• Strategic analysis, institutional writing and sensitive-information management skills
• Spanish is required

• National UN Volunteer assignment based in Bogotá with recurrent field missions
• Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance: COP 8,515,500
• Extension depends on funding, operational need and satisfactory performance, but renewal is not currently foreseen
