Overview
The specialist will lead humanitarian information management for children and women in Sudan, strengthening routine data collection, GIS mapping, real-time monitoring and data governance while helping UNICEF, government and cluster partners target and coordinate emergency responses.

Responsibilities
- Lead routine and administrative data collection, centralisation, GIS mapping and humanitarian situation monitoring
- Maintain real-time monitoring tools, information flows and data quality for monthly situation reports
- Coordinate information management with UNICEF-led clusters, OCHA, UN agencies, NGOs and partners
- Strengthen ministry and field-office information systems for decentralised monitoring and response planning
- Produce sector 4W and 6W information products and map supply delivery and stock availability
- Introduce scalable technologies, GeoAI, advanced analytics and automation with responsible data governance
- Build staff and partner capability in GIS, data literacy, information-management tools and standard workflows
- Document emerging practices and translate lessons into practical guidance
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in geospatial information systems, data science, statistics, social sciences or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in information and GIS management, research, data analysis and data management
- Demonstrated technical competency in GIS mapping and information management
- Fluency in English and Arabic
