Responsibilities
- Lead the participatory development and corporate clearance of the Mali Country Strategic Note 2027–2031
- Direct Country Office programmes, operations, duty of care, annual planning and budgets
- Monitor financial, operational, safeguarding and programme risks and close audit actions
- Manage and develop a multicultural team of up to 26 personnel
- Represent UN Women in the UN Country Team and gender coordination mechanisms
- Maintain government, donor and partner relationships and ensure timely donor reporting
- Oversee security compliance, crisis readiness and personnel wellbeing
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a development-related discipline, economics, public policy or another social science, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least seven years of progressively responsible national and international strategic and managerial leadership in development cooperation
- International-level experience in gender and women’s issues programming, preferably within the United Nations system
- Field-based experience leading and coaching multicultural teams
- Experience leading or contributing to a Strategic Note, UNSDCF or comparable planning document
- Fluency in French and English
