Overview

ADB seeks a Financial Management Specialist in Port Moresby to advise sovereign operations, conduct financial due diligence, review audited project statements, strengthen accounting and audit compliance, build client capacity and guide junior staff and consultants across developing member countries.

Responsibilities

  • Advise sovereign operations on financial management and due-diligence requirements
  • Develop financial-management guidance, procedures and internal review processes
  • Assess implementing agencies, financing plans, viability, covenants and reporting arrangements
  • Support financial management through project processing and implementation
  • Review audited project and entity financial statements and follow audit recommendations
  • Deliver client and staff capacity building and knowledge sharing
  • Manage junior staff and consultant performance and development

Requirements

  • University degree in business, finance, commerce or a related field
  • Internationally recognised professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA
  • At least six years of relevant professional experience in public- or private-sector financial management with international experience
  • Demonstrated project leadership and knowledge-sharing experience
  • Written and spoken English proficiency
  • Nationality of an ADB member
