Overview

Supports independent UNDP country programme evaluations through rigorous mixed-method research, data collection, analysis and visualisation. The analyst helps design evaluations, coordinate teams and stakeholders, manage evidence and apply emerging technologies to strengthen credible findings and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Design research and analytical frameworks and evaluation methods for country programme evaluations
  • Collect and analyse evidence and draft findings, conclusions and recommendations with clear traceability
  • Support contracting and technical oversight of evaluation teams and consultants
  • Coordinate consultations and validation sessions with country offices and national stakeholders
  • Prepare terms of reference, outcome assessment papers and evaluation inputs
  • Apply qualitative, quantitative, AI and data-analytics methods to primary and secondary evidence
  • Build dashboards, visualisations and infographics from programme and financial analysis
  • Manage evaluation timelines, datasets, collaboration tools and methodological knowledge

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations or another relevant area, or a bachelor’s degree in those fields with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least two years of relevant evaluation and research experience with a master’s degree, or four years with a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience applying qualitative and quantitative evaluation methodologies
  • Experience structuring complex datasets, developing dashboards and producing data visualisations
  • Proficiency in computer and office software packages and web-based data-management systems
  • Fluency in English
  • Candidates living in the United States must be United States citizens or green-card holders
