Creates short, high-quality videos for Southern Africa Embrace Foundation's social-media events and marketing campaigns. The online volunteer turns material supplied by the social-media team into weekly story-led edits with motion graphics, animation and soundtracks, helping the organisation share its work across its digital channels and engage its community.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Work with the Social Media Team to produce videos for social-media events and marketing campaigns
  • Edit one short video each week, generally under 10 minutes
  • Add motion graphics, animations and soundtracks to create impactful stories
  • Prepare videos for publication on the organisation's social-media platforms
  • Use content supplied by the Social Media Team
  • Attend weekly Wednesday team meetings at 10am EST

Role Requirements

  • Recent graduate or undergraduate/graduate student in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, digital filmmaking, digital media, graphic design or a development-related field
  • Expertise in video editing with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro or equivalent software
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory and visual storytelling
  • English is required
