Driver

Provides reliable and safe transport for UNICEF staff and officials in Lashkar Gah while maintaining the assigned vehicle and complete operating records. The driver applies local traffic rules, security awareness and protocol standards to support dependable movement in a demanding humanitarian environment.

• Drive UNICEF staff and officials safely and reliably on authorised journeys
• Follow local traffic laws, security procedures and organisational driving protocols
• Maintain the assigned vehicle in clean and serviceable condition
• Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting of vehicle faults
• Keep accurate logs and documentation for journeys, fuel and vehicle servicing
• Provide courteous and discreet transport support to passengers from varied backgrounds

• Secondary education
• Minimum two years of relevant experience as a driver with an international organisation, embassy or the UN system
• Safe driving record
• Knowledge of local roads, traffic rules and regulations
• Fluency in English, Pashto and Dari

• Temporary appointment
• Nationally recruited General Service position; UNICEF does not facilitate visas or work authorisation
