Driver

Provide UNICEF Kano with reliable and safe transport for personnel and authorized passengers, following local traffic law and organizational protocols, planning secure routes, using GPS and radio communications, maintaining vehicle readiness and records, and supporting administrative needs between driving assignments.

Department: Nigeria Country Office, Kano Field Office

• Drive UNICEF personnel and authorized passengers safely and reliably
• Follow local traffic rules, security procedures and UNICEF transport protocols
• Plan routes and use navigation tools for efficient travel
• Inspect vehicles and coordinate routine maintenance
• Maintain trip, fuel and vehicle records
• Use radio and mobile communications during assignments
• Respond appropriately to breakdowns, emergencies and security incidents
• Support administrative tasks during non-driving periods

• Secondary education
• Valid driving licence and knowledge of local traffic rules
• At least two years of driving experience with an international organization, embassy or UN entity
• Safe driving record
• English fluency
