Driver

Provides secure driving, vehicle maintenance, route planning and delivery support for IOM staff, visitors and official materials.

• Provide reliable and secure driving services for IOM staff members and visitors
• Follow authorized routing and UN Department of Safety and Security rules and regulations
• Manage day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle and complete daily checks
• Ensure vehicle registration, insurance and regular service are maintained on time
• Perform minor repairs and arrange major repairs when required
• Maintain the vehicle logbook and fuel receipts for consumption monitoring
• Deliver and collect goods, mail, documents and other assigned items
• Report vehicle or route problems and follow local procedures in case of accidents

• Completed high school degree with at least two years of relevant professional experience
• Valid driving licence
• Adequate knowledge of local traffic laws and duty-station routes
• Defensive driving techniques
• Fluency in Turkish and English

• Fixed-term appointment for one year with possibility of extension
• This selection process may be used to staff similar positions for 24 months
• Appointment is subject to funding confirmation, medical fitness, accreditation, residency or visa requirements and security clearances
