Overview

Provides end-user technology support and maintains ICT systems for UNICEF’s Costa Rica office. The role resolves incidents, configures equipment and applications, manages access and assets, coordinates vendors, strengthens cybersecurity and supports operational continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve user incidents involving hardware, software and applications
  • Train staff to use UNICEF systems and standard technology tools
  • Install, configure and commission new equipment and software
  • Support corporate applications and coordinate vendor repairs and services
  • Maintain the office inventory of ICT equipment and assets
  • Perform backups, system monitoring, patch management and security maintenance
  • Administer user access to systems, platforms and databases
  • Develop, test and update the operational continuity plan

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education
  • At least five years of ICT experience covering hardware and software installation, user support and end-user documentation
  • Ability to manage help-desk requests, maintain hardware records and provide technical support
  • Technical knowledge of computer systems and digital tools
  • Fluent Spanish and basic English
