Overview

Two online volunteers will complete the Freedom to Decide Movement’s founding governance and membership package for youth-led organisations in Cameroon. The assignments turn draft charters, electoral rules, committee procedures and membership systems into accessible documents ready for member negotiation and ratification.

Responsibilities

  • Refine the founding charter and ensure internal consistency
  • Develop electoral rules implementing steering-committee composition guarantees
  • Draft terms of reference and meeting procedures for movement bodies
  • Create membership applications, admission workflows and register templates
  • Develop orientation, annual-return and good-standing review materials
  • Produce plain-language versions for readers without legal training
  • Review documents for accessibility and consistent terminology
  • Revise materials following feedback from movement leaders and members

Requirements

  • Experience or strong interest matching either governance drafting or membership-system design
  • Strong writing and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good written English
  • Ability to work remotely, respond to feedback and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to rights-based, non-discriminatory and do-no-harm approaches
