Deputy Head of Mission (DHoM)

The deputy head directs implementation of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo's mandate, aligning programmes, administration and resources, advising senior leadership, managing external relations and local dialogue, supervising senior staff and deputizing for the head of mission.

Department: OSCE Mission in Kosovo

• Oversee implementation of mission plans, policies and mandate
• Advise senior management on programme and operational priorities
• Coordinate departments and monitor programme results
• Integrate budget, human resources and security operations
• Negotiate with Kosovo institutions and international partners
• Supervise senior staff and deputize for the head of mission

• Master's degree in political science, public or international law, international relations or a related field, or bachelor's degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least ten years of relevant progressive experience including five years at management level
• Professional English fluency
• International eligibility outside the candidate's home country or permanent residence
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive manual transmission
• Physical fitness and willingness to work extra hours with limited infrastructure

• International secondment; nationals and permanent residents of Kosovo are ineligible
• Suitable interviewed candidates may enter a three-year roster for future seconded fixed-term posts
