Head, Conference and Language Services

Leads OSCE conference, interpretation, translation, documentation and protocol services, ensuring compliant delivery for decision-making bodies and high-level meetings.

Department: Conference and Language Services

• Oversee planning, coordination and delivery of OSCE conference and language services
• Serve as principal interlocutor for delegations on conference services, protocol and procedure
• Manage interpretation, translation, documentation, logistics and protocol support
• Negotiate and manage contracts with external service providers
• Lead approximately 30 staff and oversee recruitment and performance management
• Prepare and manage the Conference and Language Services budget
• Advise senior management on service improvement and ICT-enabled innovation

• Second-level university degree in international relations, political sciences, international law, public or business administration or a related field, or first-level degree with two additional years of experience
• Minimum ten years of progressively responsible international experience, or twelve years with a relevant first-level degree
• At least five years of senior or managerial experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and one other official OSCE language
• Nationality of an OSCE participating State

• Monthly remuneration is around EUR 11,300, depending on post adjustment and family status
• OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Austria
• Maximum period of service in this post is 5 years
• Appointment is subject to medical clearance
