Responsibilities

  • Develop databases, data-collection systems and analytics workflows
  • Analyse structured and unstructured data to identify trends and patterns
  • Build reports, dashboards and visualisations for management decision-making
  • Establish quality-control and documentation standards for data products
  • Collaborate with data engineers, scientists and data owners to improve data flows
  • Produce reports, newsletters and other analytical products
  • Train personnel in data analytics methods and tools

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, information management, information systems, economic or social sciences, or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Demonstrated data storytelling and visualisation skills using Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or R
  • Ability to perform quality assurance of analytical outputs
  • Required UN Level II proficiency in English
  • Applicants must be nationals of South Sudan
