Responsibilities

  • Coordinate implementation, reporting and results monitoring for Angola’s peace and reconciliation plan
  • Track activities, flag delivery risks and integrate lessons into wider UN Country Team efforts
  • Prepare political analysis, policy notes and evidence-based recommendations on peace and governance
  • Facilitate joint planning and knowledge-sharing among UN entities and national partners
  • Draft strategic briefings, speeches, talking points and background materials for UN leadership
  • Engage government, civil society, academia and development partners on regional diplomacy and peacebuilding
  • Align UN contributions with national and regional priorities and support donor reporting
  • Document best practices and strengthen partner knowledge and capacity

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Development Studies or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience
  • Applicants with a bachelor’s degree require at least two years of experience in political analysis, development coordination, peacebuilding, governance or related work
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Portuguese
