Overview
Supports the design, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF child-protection programmes in Venezuela. The role analyses programme evidence, builds partnerships and provides technical and operational support that strengthens safeguarding and creates safer environments for children.

Responsibilities
- Research, analyse and present technical child-protection programme information
- Support programme development, planning and formulation
- Monitor programme delivery, progress and results
- Provide technical and operational support for implementation
- Build relationships with government, NGOs, donors, United Nations agencies and other partners
- Support knowledge management, innovation and capacity building
- Integrate safeguarding and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse into programme delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in international development, social work, human rights, psychology, sociology or another relevant social science
- At least one year of professional experience in social-development planning and management in child-protection areas
- Knowledge of protection from sexual exploitation and abuse principles and safeguarding standards
- Ability to manage relationships with government, NGOs, donors, United Nations agencies and other partners
- Experience in programme monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, donor reporting and risk analysis
- Fluent Spanish and intermediate English
