Responsibilities
- Lead UNICEF’s regional presence, staff performance and asset management while maintaining personnel and operational security
- Direct programme design, work planning and delivery across sectors under the country programme framework
- Monitor political, social, economic and conflict trends and adapt implementation when security or access conditions change
- Oversee programme funds, disbursement, internal controls and efficient use of financial and supply resources
- Lead field monitoring, evaluation, corrective action and annual programme reporting
- Strengthen national and local partner capacity for sustainable, conflict-sensitive service delivery
- Represent UNICEF and coordinate with government, UN, humanitarian, peacebuilding and security partners
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in social science, public administration, sociology, international relations, government and public relations, public policy, social policy, community development or a related field
- At least eight years of relevant experience in social sciences, international relations, public administration, government and public relations, public or social policy, sociology, social or community development, or another relevant technical field
- Fluency in English
- Open only to non-Ethiopian nationals
