Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-border Ebola operations between Central African Republic and DRC
  • Track actions agreed through bilateral and regional coordination mechanisms
  • Link national, district, WHO and continental incident-management teams
  • Harmonise surveillance, contact tracing, laboratory referral, infection control and risk communication
  • Facilitate cross-border meetings and follow up decisions and action points
  • Identify and escalate operational gaps in communication, supplies, screening, referral and data sharing
  • Prepare joint situation updates, dashboards, leadership briefs and operational summaries
  • Document lessons, good practice and recommendations for stronger cross-border readiness

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in public health, medicine, epidemiology, emergency management, international health, health systems, social sciences, international relations or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant national and international experience in public-health emergency response, outbreak coordination, cross-border health security, surveillance, preparedness or emergency operations
  • Understanding of incident-management systems and public-health emergency operations
  • Knowledge of Ebola response, surveillance, infection control, laboratory coordination, safe referral and risk communication
  • Excellent spoken and written French
  • Intermediate English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and online coordination tools
