Responsibilities

  • Design a multi-country maternal and newborn health financing instrument
  • Lead feasibility studies and health-economic modelling
  • Define governance, risk, eligibility and results-financing frameworks
  • Develop priority-country investment pipelines
  • Advise AfDB leadership on health financing and fiscal space
  • Mobilise donors and coordinate UNFPA-AfDB partnerships

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in health economics, finance, public health, economics or a related field
  • At least six years of increasingly responsible international experience with substantial health-financing or development-finance work
  • Track record with multilateral development banks or international financial institutions
  • Policy-engagement expertise in maternal health financing in developing countries
  • Effective written and oral communication in English or French
