Responsibilities
- Design a multi-country maternal and newborn health financing instrument
- Lead feasibility studies and health-economic modelling
- Define governance, risk, eligibility and results-financing frameworks
- Develop priority-country investment pipelines
- Advise AfDB leadership on health financing and fiscal space
- Mobilise donors and coordinate UNFPA-AfDB partnerships
Requirements
- Advanced degree in health economics, finance, public health, economics or a related field
- At least six years of increasingly responsible international experience with substantial health-financing or development-finance work
- Track record with multilateral development banks or international financial institutions
- Policy-engagement expertise in maternal health financing in developing countries
- Effective written and oral communication in English or French
