Senior Full Stack Developer

Lead end-to-end data engineering and analytics delivery for IFRC’s global data platform across multiple regional duty countries. The developer translates business needs into data products, builds models and pipelines, produces Power BI reporting, safeguards data quality and security, and manages a small technical team.

Department: AI and Data Unit

• Translate business processes and needs into data specifications
• Build data models, schemas and ingestion pipelines on Microsoft platforms
• Develop Power BI dashboards and resolve user-acceptance issues
• Create data products with SQL and PySpark
• Implement data-quality, security, performance and scalability controls
• Document architecture, engineering processes and data flows
• Manage priorities and mentor a small full-stack development team
• Guide colleagues on data-management practices and Microsoft technologies

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field
• At least seven years of progressively responsible data-engineering experience, including four years with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse and Power BI reporting
• Expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Experience implementing data lakes or lakehouses and Data Vault and dimensional modelling
• Programming proficiency in Python, SQL or Java
• Experience with data governance, architecture, large datasets and data pipelines
• Experience leading a data-science or comparable team and delivering technical projects
• Fluent written and spoken English
