Senior Finance Assistant

Delivers finance, payroll, accounts-payable, awards and reporting services for WHO offices worldwide, processing transactions, resolving workflow requests and supporting financial controls.

Department: Global Service Centre

• Process ERP and corporate-system workflow requests in line with service standards
• Follow up pending finance and payroll tasks until resolution
• Advise clients and colleagues across headquarters, regional and country offices
• Reconcile ledger and bank accounts and prepare journal vouchers
• Process payroll, supplier invoices, credit memos, payments and refunds
• Maintain supplier, customer, donor and staff financial records
• Prepare financial analyses, exception reports and audit materials
• Contribute to system testing, process improvement and month-end closure

• Completion of secondary school education or equivalent, complemented by training in accounting or bookkeeping
• At least eight years of recent relevant administrative experience, including at least two years in accounting, finance or payroll
• Demonstrated proficiency using computers and information technology
• Expertise using MS Office and web-based software
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet or database packages
• Knowledge of IPSAS or IFRS is required for Global Finance positions
• Expert knowledge of English

• Fixed-term appointment for two years, renewable subject to performance and continuing need
• Annual net base salary starts at MYR 86,519 before mandatory deductions
