Senior Advisor, Partnerships

Leads UNOPS partnership strategy and senior engagement with Chinese government institutions and state-directed partners, developing opportunities, coordinating country relationships and positioning implementation capabilities within national and international cooperation frameworks.

Department: Partnerships and Futures Group

• Develop the partner strategy for China with the Partnerships and Futures Group and Strategic Partnerships team
• Lead a strategically aligned portfolio of engagement with Chinese government and state-directed partners
• Produce senior outreach materials, positioning papers and capacity statements for external stakeholders
• Drive opportunity development using partner intelligence, regulatory insight and analysis of funding trends
• Coordinate engagement with MOFCOM, CIDCA, AIIB and other China-based partners
• Facilitate senior missions, meetings and UN country coordination mechanisms in China
• Lead personnel, resource stewardship, knowledge sharing and capability building for partnership delivery

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience
• Strategic and managerial leadership experience in international development within a large international organisation
• Significant experience leading relationship management and partner engagement processes
• Significant experience leading opportunity or business development for key partners or clients
• Experience working in multicultural environments
• Fluency in English
