Responsibilities
- Advise UN leadership on collaboration with international financial institutions in conflict-affected settings
- Support nationally led prevention, recovery and transition strategies and engagement with IDA21 mechanisms
- Coordinate governments, UN entities, development banks and partners around peacebuilding priorities
- Develop strategic analysis, consultations and mechanisms for national prevention and transition frameworks
- Align Peacebuilding Fund interventions with development-finance operations and innovative peace financing
- Guide joint assessments and planning exercises, including Recovery and Peacebuilding Assessments
- Produce analytical papers, briefings, guidance and lessons for UN–IFI policy and operational discussions
- Embed human rights, gender equality, youth participation and inclusion in planning and advisory support
Requirements
- Master’s degree in political science, international development, international relations, international law, development economics or a related field with ten years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in a related field with twelve years of relevant experience
- Professional experience in conflict prevention, peacebuilding or international development
- Fluency in English
