Responsibilities

  • Assess protection needs and vulnerabilities of migrants after arrival and prepare individual care plans
  • Manage cases and coordinate legal, health, psychosocial, family-tracing and gender-based violence referrals
  • Deliver safe and dignified post-arrival assistance with informed consent, privacy and confidentiality
  • Explain available assistance to beneficiaries using clear, culturally and age-appropriate communication
  • Maintain accurate case records in approved IOM systems and apply data-protection standards
  • Coordinate timely services with protection, health, psychosocial and logistics colleagues
  • Participate in local protection coordination and strengthen referral networks with partners
  • Prepare casework reports and contribute to protection assessments, learning and indicator monitoring

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human ecology, social sciences, international relations or a related field with four years of relevant experience, or master’s degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing protection cases involving vulnerable migrants in humanitarian or migration contexts
  • Experience coordinating referrals with local protection actors, non-governmental organisations or government services
  • Fluency in Spanish
