Overview

The case manager supports migrants enrolled in IOM Costa Rica’s integration programme, assessing needs, maintaining case records, coordinating services and voluntary-return pathways, and accompanying access to housing, health, education and socioeconomic inclusion across participating communities.

Responsibilities

  • Screen migrants and assess individual integration needs
  • Maintain accurate case records in MIMOSA, Kobo and Excel
  • Coordinate access to housing, health, education and inclusion services
  • Manage follow-up with IOM offices, translators and stakeholders
  • Coordinate assisted voluntary return pathways when requested
  • Document interventions and conduct field travel as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences or a related field
  • At least four years of experience working with vulnerable populations
  • English proficiency at B2 level or above
  • Valid residence and work permission for Costa Rica
