Programme Coordinator, Migration Management

Leads IOM Kenya’s migration-management portfolio across labour mobility, border governance and migrant protection, aligning programmes with government priorities, supervising delivery and staff, managing donor reporting and risks, and developing strategies, proposals and partnerships for coherent national action.

Department: Programme and Policy Development

• Oversee labour-mobility, border-governance and migrant-protection programmes in Kenya
• Develop policies, strategies and new projects responding to migration-management needs
• Align programme planning with government priorities and inter-agency frameworks
• Coordinate partners and provide strategic and operational information in sector forums
• Supervise project staff and provide training on coherent programme delivery
• Ensure donor reporting compliance and mitigate reporting delays and inaccuracies
• Develop proposals and brief donors to mobilise programme resources
• Conduct assessments, monitoring, liaison and project-development missions

• Master degree in social science, international relations, development studies, law or a related field with five years of experience, or a bachelor degree with seven years of experience
• At least five years of relevant professional experience
• Experience delivering migration-management projects across varied contexts
• Strong project implementation, monitoring and reporting experience
• Experience in policy and strategy development
• Fluency in spoken and written English
