Overview
Provides on-demand graphic design, layout and desktop-publishing services for UNFPA publications across the Arab region. The consultant creates accessible, multilingual, brand-compliant digital and print assets and supplies complete production-ready and editable source packages.

Responsibilities
- Develop multiple cover and layout concepts from individual design briefs
- Create brand-compliant publication layouts and complete iterative proof corrections
- Format Arabic right-to-left and English or French left-to-right content in multilingual products
- Produce accessible digital documents aligned with WCAG 2.1 and screen-reader requirements
- Prepare print-ready files, web-optimized PDFs, social-media assets and packaged editable source files
- Apply digital-first and sustainable print-production practices
- Coordinate with communications and technical units until final approval
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, visual communications, digital media or a related field, or a relevant diploma or secondary education plus two additional years of experience
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience in graphic design, publication layout, desktop publishing and corporate brand management
- Professional portfolio demonstrating publications, policy briefs, infographics and social-media assets
- Expert command of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro
- Proficiency in Arabic right-to-left and English or French left-to-right typography
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic

- Non-binding remote retainer framework; selection does not guarantee work orders
