Procurement Associate

Delivers procurement services for UNICEF fundraising and operations by reviewing requests, managing sourcing and contracting, supporting market research and supplier performance, and maintaining transparent procurement records and committee processes.

• Review and process procurement requests for compliance and completeness
• Manage sourcing, solicitation, evaluation and contracting activities
• Provide procurement guidance to internal clients and vendors
• Support procurement planning, market research and sourcing strategies
• Prepare and administer contracts, long-term agreements and purchase orders
• Monitor supplier performance, contract delivery, procurement commitments and operational reporting
• Maintain procurement records and coordinate Contract Review Committee processes
• Support day-to-day administration of procurement operations

• Completion of secondary education supplemented by technical or university-level courses in commerce, procurement, supply chain or a related field
• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in supply management, procurement, supply chain management, international procurement or related fields
• Experience applying UN supply and procurement policies or international public procurement processes, procedures and systems related to service procurement
• Experience managing international tenders and interacting with the UN or multilateral organizations, global vendors and decentralized offices
• Experience in end-to-end procurement of goods and services, including solicitation documents, bid evaluation, contract preparation and supplier management
• Fluency in English
• Candidates must be EU or Schengen nationals, Italian citizens or holders of a valid Italian work permit at application
