Price Agent

Collects and documents retail price data for the 2026 ICSC place-to-place survey in Asmara, reviewing survey materials, visiting approved outlets and submitting pricing records and market-condition information.

• Review survey documents and pricing-agent instructions before the survey begins
• Assess the availability and specifications of items in the local market
• Develop a data-collection plan and collect prices from approved stores and outlets
• Ensure collected prices conform with approved outlet lists and item specifications
• Record price data in the required pricing forms and questionnaire
• Submit pricing documents and local market-condition information to the Survey Coordinator
• Respond to ICSC or Survey Coordinator queries about price quotations

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in statistics, economics, project management, auditing, accounting or finance
• International shopping experience with knowledge of the local market
• Independence from United Nations Common System organisations at the duty station and their immediate relatives
• Ability to travel around the duty station by public or private transportation
• Availability to complete the assignment within the specified time frame
• Proficiency in English and Tigrinya or Arabic with ability to communicate with local vendors
• Evidence of completion of or exemption from national service

• Consultancy duration: 1 month
• Applicants must include a financial proposal with a breakdown of all-inclusive fees
