Responsibilities

  • Amplify official FAO Headquarters and FAO RNE social media content on the International Year of the Woman Farmer
  • Share FAO content highlighting women farmers' roles, challenges and contributions across the NENA region
  • Ensure shared content attributes FAO, respects copyright and branding guidance and identifies the content as official FAO messaging
  • Share content in line with campaign priorities, key international days and agreed messaging guidance
  • Maintain regular communication with the Regional Gender Officer and Young Professional Officer for communication
  • Monitor engagement on shared content, including likes, shares, comments and reach where available
  • Submit a brief engagement report every two weeks with links or screenshots and basic engagement metrics

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in gender equality, women's empowerment, agrifood systems, sustainable development or related fields
  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms, particularly X/Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Ability to communicate clearly and responsibly in public digital spaces with sensitivity to diverse cultural and regional contexts
  • Basic understanding of social media engagement metrics and digital advocacy
  • Strong responsibility, attention to detail and ability to follow branding, copyright and attribution requirements
  • Good communication and coordination skills for working with FAO focal points
  • Ability to meet reporting deadlines and provide concise and accurate activity documentation
  • Proficiency in English
