National Consultant — Inclusion and Gender Mainstreaming in EU Integration

The consultant advises Ukrainian government institutions on embedding inclusion and gender equality throughout EU accession, reviewing legislation against the acquis, developing legal and policy proposals, facilitating consultations and strengthening stakeholder capacity for gender-responsive integration.

Department: Ukraine Country Office

• Review Ukrainian legislation against EU equality requirements
• Draft legal and policy proposals for gender-responsive accession
• Advise government institutions on inclusion and gender mainstreaming
• Facilitate consultations, workshops and capacity development
• Prepare analytical reports and practical recommendations

• Advanced university degree in law, public policy, international relations, gender studies, social sciences or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of experience
• At least one year of relevant experience after a master’s degree in human rights, gender equality, governance or public administration
• Experience providing legal support to Ukrainian government institutions on EU accession
• Knowledge of the EU acquis and gender equality principles
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian

• Kyiv-based assignment with partial office-based presence and no anticipated travel
• Consultant must provide a computer
