Gender-Inclusive Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development Consultant

Leads regional programmes and strategy for gender-inclusive entrepreneurship in Asia and the Pacific, linking enterprise support, climate and care economies, sustainable finance, policy advocacy and resource mobilisation.

Department: Women’s Economic Empowerment Team, Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific

• Oversee regional care and climate entrepreneurship programmes and service providers
• Ensure accelerators use gender-responsive business practices and UN Women resources
• Consolidate entrepreneurship curricula and develop a regional ecosystem toolbox
• Guide investment-readiness support, network access and finance for women-led enterprises
• Develop advocacy products, events and impact stories for women’s entrepreneurship
• Lead a regional gender-inclusive entrepreneurship and gender-lens investing strategy
• Build partnerships with entrepreneurship, finance, government and civil-society institutions
• Prepare concepts, briefings and action plans for resource mobilisation

• Master’s degree in economics, law, public policy, governance, gender studies, international development, finance, business administration or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least five years of relevant ASEAN experience spanning at least two of women’s economic empowerment, gender finance, entrepreneurship development or acceleration, and climate technology
• Experience implementing entrepreneurship programmes
• Experience working with government, private-sector organisations or investors in ASEAN
• Experience delivering capacity building or support to climate or gender-lens entrepreneurs or investors
• Strong proficiency in English

• Home-based full-time consultancy at 20 working days per month
• Official travel may include up to two visits to Bangkok
• Monthly payments are made against approved progress reports
