Responsibilities

  • Prepare an inception report based on consultations with justice and integrity institutions
  • Map gaps in Liberia's judicial response to corruption offences
  • Assess the legal framework against UNCAC and international human rights law
  • Review proposed statutes of the National Anti-Corruption Court
  • Develop victim-centred and human-rights-based recommendations for the court statutes
  • Lead a peer review forum on institutional complementarity
  • Organise validation sessions with national institutions, OHCHR and UN partners

Requirements

  • Masters degree in law, human rights or a related social science
  • At least seven years of professional experience as a lawyer, prosecutor, judge, legal consultant or adviser in human rights or anti-corruption
  • At least three years of legal drafting experience
  • At least three years providing legal advice to national or international policy makers on law, human rights or anti-corruption
  • Fluent spoken and written English
