Responsibilities

  • Support disease surveillance systems, vaccination campaigns and pre- and post-vaccination evaluation
  • Provide technical support to veterinary authorities on laboratory analysis and reporting
  • Follow up technical and financial reports and prepare letters of agreement payments
  • Prepare and facilitate training on animal disease diagnostics, laboratory quality assurance and surveillance
  • Support training on transboundary animal disease surveillance, control and outbreak investigation
  • Plan and coordinate meetings with veterinary authorities, private sector stakeholders, laboratories and education establishments
  • Collect and review data on One Health and antimicrobial resistance in northern governorates

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in veterinary medicine, veterinary epidemiology or a related field
  • At least five years of directly applicable experience managing animal health programmes or related work
  • Working knowledge of English and Arabic
  • Yemeni nationality
