Mission Planning Officer (Data Management)

Leads mission-wide data management for planning and executive decision-making, strengthening repositories, governance, quality, interoperability, dashboards and analytical processes while training mission teams and protecting sensitive information across MINUSCA components.

Department: Joint Mission Planning Unit

• Lead mission-wide data collection, harmonisation and repository management
• Establish data definitions, metadata, attribution, version control and governance
• Strengthen database architecture, interoperability and access across mission platforms
• Develop dashboards and translate data into decision-ready insights for leadership
• Train mission teams, improve workflows and protect sensitive information

• Advanced university degree in Political Science, Management, Development or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• Professional training in planning, data science, statistics or information management
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in programme management, strategic planning, data analysis or information management
• Experience in data governance, quality assurance, database management and sensitive-information protection
• Experience applying advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to reporting and decision-making
• English at UN Level III
