- Register, categorise and track misconduct allegations and inquiries
- Assess incoming allegations and identify the issues requiring review
- Interview complainants and gather supporting information from relevant sources
- Recommend case closure, preliminary inquiry or referral to another service

- Support fact-finding interviews and documentary review when assigned
- Draft concise investigation reports or case-closing memoranda
