Responsibilities

  • Contribute to working groups reviewing internal legislation
  • Draft internal legislation and related amendments
  • Advise HR Management and stakeholders on Staff Rules, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Handle cases before CERN internal dispute resolution and advisory boards
  • Perform legal research and analysis for legal opinions, memoranda and correspondence

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a legal adviser in an intergovernmental organisation practicing international administrative law
  • Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience in law, international public or administrative law or a related field
  • Spoken and written English and French in professional contexts
  • Nationality of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State, excluding specified ceiling-restricted nationalities for 2026
  • Relevant qualifications and professional experience
  • No previous CERN staff contract
