Overview

Develops financing and partnership models for women food producers and agricultural workers under the Zero Hunger Accelerator. The consultancy assesses financial institutions, designs an integrated financing and marketplace hub, formalises partnerships and builds investor and government support for piloting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop two or three viable financing models for women food producers and agricultural workers
  • Assess financial institutions through desk research and interviews for feasibility and scaling potential
  • Design and cost a hub integrating financing, training, learning and marketplace functions
  • Convene partners to validate concepts, secure commitments and refine partnership arrangements
  • Develop memoranda of understanding and a sustainable partnership model for the pilot
  • Prepare investor and government presentations promoting the hub and mobilising support

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in economics, business management, social sciences, public administration, international relations, communications, women’s studies or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in public finance, development work, resource mobilisation, communications, advocacy or business development
  • Experience with gender equality, governance and development issues in the Philippines
  • Experience formalising public and private-sector partnerships, including memoranda of understanding and partnership models
  • Experience producing research papers and reports, developing programmes and facilitating interviews, consultations and workshops
  • Fluency in English and Filipino

Additional info

  • Home-based consultancy reporting to the UN Women Philippines office as needed
  • At least one mission may be required and will be arranged and paid separately by UN Women
