Overview
The assistant will support construction and rehabilitation across refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar by surveying sites, checking quantities and specifications, monitoring contractors and work quality, coordinating field actors, engaging communities and contributing to hazard-mitigation measures.

Responsibilities
- Support implementation of site-development and community-infrastructure projects
- Survey sites and prepare quantities, specifications, maps and civil-design evidence
- Monitor construction quality and progress against technical specifications and workplans
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, cash-for-work groups and site-management actors
- Identify hazards and support disaster-risk-reduction measures in camps and settlements
- Engage beneficiary communities to strengthen participation and ownership
- Build the capacity of field support staff, technical mobilisers and cash-for-work groups
- Liaise with government agencies and stakeholders across multiple camps
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or a school diploma with five years of relevant experience
- Experience implementing civil infrastructure and medium- to large-scale construction or community projects
- Knowledge of local construction materials and technologies
- Fluency in English and Bengali
- Availability to travel among camps and out-of-camp settlements
