Responsibilities

  • Operate and reconfigure CERN’s high- and low-voltage electrical network
  • Troubleshoot faults, complete repairs and document electrical interventions
  • Inspect electrical installations for reliability and safety
  • Serve as contact for users connected to the assigned network area
  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance and electrical works
  • Support technical solutions, testing, commissioning and acceptance of installations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, operational and corrective-action records

Requirements

  • Technical certificate, general secondary education or equivalent relevant experience in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Relevant professional experience operating and maintaining electrical installations
  • Valid driving licence
  • Nationality of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State, subject to the stated nationality ceilings
  • Availability for radiation-area and underground work, stand-by duty, nights, Sundays and official holidays
  • Spoken and written English with a commitment to learn French
