Emergency Specialist (Planning and Reporting)

Lead regional humanitarian planning, reporting and information management for UNICEF country offices across MENA during the transition to a combined regional office. The specialist strengthens appeals, budgeting, performance monitoring, preparedness, emergency surge support and harmonised systems.

Department: MENA Regional Office Humanitarian Team

• Lead regional humanitarian planning and appeal development
• Strengthen humanitarian reporting and information management across country offices
• Coordinate budgeting, performance monitoring and corporate reporting
• Provide technical support and capacity strengthening for emergency teams
• Support emergency surge deployments and crisis escalation
• Coordinate regional humanitarian action and office-transition harmonisation

• Advanced university degree in social sciences, public administration, decentralisation, anthropology, psychology, international relations or a related discipline
• At least five years of progressively responsible national and international experience in humanitarian programme or project development
• Experience developing standalone, regional and multi-country humanitarian appeals and situation reports
• Expertise in analytical writing, humanitarian coordination, emergency programming, deadline management, cross-cultural communication and organisational adaptability
• Fluency in English
