Data Management Officer – Displacement Tracking Matrix

Supports global data management for IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix in Geneva, consolidating and cleaning datasets, maintaining the Central Data Warehouse and Data Dictionary, enforcing responsible-data and quality standards, building Kobo forms and producing analysis on displacement and migration flows.

Department: Displacement Tracking Matrix

• Support global DTM data collection, processing and warehouse workflows
• Consolidate, clean and refine datasets from country, regional and global operations
• Maintain the Central Data Warehouse and implement the DTM Data Dictionary
• Apply data-quality controls, governance, protection, security and ethical-data mechanisms
• Develop Kobo forms and standard operating procedures for field data management
• Prepare statistical tabulations and information products on displacement and migration
• Review information-system technologies for disaster and emergency data operations
• Respond to field-operation queries and ensure publication standards for DTM data

• Master’s degree in computer science, demographics, information management or a related field, or a university degree with two years of relevant experience
• Experience consolidating data from multiple databases and datasets
• Experience with DTM data, datasets and databases
• Experience in complex data-quality-control operations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, SQL, Kobo and Power BI
• Fluency in English
