Overview
Assesses NATO’s information environment to support strategic communications, operational planning and command decisions. The role monitors adversarial activity, evaluates communication effects, contributes to operations assessments, and develops performance measures, briefings and aligned communication plans with NATO commands.

Responsibilities
- Monitor the information environment and adversarial activities affecting NATO
- Evaluate the effects of JSEC activities on the information environment
- Operate social-media monitoring, listening and analytics tools
- Contribute to NATO information-environment and operations assessments
- Prepare awareness briefings for command leadership and staff
- Integrate assessment findings into operational planning and campaign synchronisation
- Develop measures of effectiveness and performance for communication activities
- Coordinate information exchange with SHAPE and other NATO commands
Requirements
- University degree with two years of relevant experience, or higher secondary education and advanced vocational qualification with four years
- Proven experience in information warfare
- Training as a specialist in strategic communications, information operations, psychological operations, military public affairs or key-leader engagement
- Experience of joint and combined operations and operational or tactical planning procedures
- English proficiency at NATO SLP 3333

- Monthly salary: EUR 7,452.25, tax free before eligible allowances
- New recruits receive a three-year contract that may be extended indefinitely
- May deploy on short notice for up to 183 days in a 547-day period
